Stijn De Meulenaer
Within his law practice, Stijn has built up extensive experience in corporate (criminal) law and in the field of combating fraud. Together with his team, he primarily assists companies and company directors with advice and in litigation files.
Stijn De Meulenaer graduated with distinction in 1996 with a master’s degree in law from Universiteit Gent. He subsequently also obtained a master’s degree in criminology from the Université de Liège, where he was also an assistant for some time. After gaining experience in several large Brussels law firms, he started Everest advocaten with some co-partners in 2007. He is a lawyer in Ghent and Brussels and is also a director of the Ghent Everest office.
Stijn De Meulenaer is the author of various articles and books on fraud and corporate criminal law. In addition, he is a highly sought-after speaker at seminars and is a lecturer in criminal tax law at the Brugge Business School (Vives) as well as an executive professor of fraud auditing. He is also affiliated with the VUB as a research fellow.
